Mosaic for decorative panel
The art of creating roles and designs on wood or polyester. All of these designs come from the combination of colored wood on the surface of wood. The history of the origin of this art is not clear, but it can be related to the period of the Ilkhanids. This art peaked in the Safavid period. Mosaic is originally used to decorate the surfaces of the table, console, chair, etc., and used only traditional and Islamic patterns or knots or colored wood of different types of trees (Ebony, Betel, Pear, Sea-Buckthorn, Berries).
It is noteworthy that in ancient Iran, in the Persepolis palace, there were a lot of mosaic that all of these wooden works were fired at the time of Alexander the Great. Unfortunately, there are no documentation available.
The steps are as follows:
First, we Paste the original design on the wooden surface and cut each section separately with a jigsaw.
Second we fix the cut pieces onto the desired (main surface) with a nail.
Next, we cut the patterns and we paste them on the main surface.
