Shurjeh Oromieh is one of delicious Persian foods which is specific to Urmia. Here we want to present you how to cook this simple food.

Ingredients used to cook Shurjeh Oromieh
Yogurt1 kg
Egg1
SaffronIn the amount needed
Cooked meat500 g
Salt, pepperIn the amount needed
Corn starch2 soup spoons

Recipe

To prepare this food, first, mix yogurt and saffron in a dish to make a mixture. Pour fried onion in a frying pan and then sauté it with meat. Add some water to meat and let it boil for a while. Now, add the mixture to meat little by little and stir them again. Pour all ingredients into a pot and put the pot on stove with a gentle heat.

Add pepper and salt to the ingredients. Mix corn starch with 4 or 5 soup spoons of water. After that, heat the ingredients for a while. Remember to put lid on the pot to cook the ingredients well. You can serve Shurjeh Oromieh with cooked rice.
