Sweets of Qazvin province
Sweets of Qazvin are diverse and pleasant-tasting. Some of these sweets have interesting and attractive shapes. Here, we introduce some of delicious sweets of Qazvin.
Paderazi
Paderazi is made of three types of flours: chickpea flour, rice flour and wheat flour. Other ingredients of this sweet are ginger powder, milk, oil, powdered sugar, saffron, vanilla, sesame and egg.
Nan-e Charkhi
One of local sweets of this province is Nan-e Charkhi. Interesting point about this sweet is that, ingredients of this sweet are minced. Powdered sugar, solid oil, rice flour, white flour, egg, yogurt, pistachio powder, baking powder and cardamom powder are used to make this sweet.
Nan- e Nokhodi
This sweet is small and has pleasant fragrant. To prepare this sweet, white flour, solid oil, almond slices, yolk, chickpea flour, powdered sugar and cardamom powder are used.
Nan-e Berenji
This sweet is also made in Kermanshah (a city in Iran). Ingredients of this sweet include: rice flour, powdered sugar, egg, cardamom, rose water, wheat flour and solid oil.
Nan-e Badami
This delicious sweet consist of ingredients such as flour, pistachio powder, cardamom powder, almond powder, solid oil and powdered sugar.
Qazvin Baqlava
Baqlava is a famous sweet of Qazvin and Yazd (a city in Iran). This sweet is in different shapes including rhombus and square. Ingredients of this sweet are flour, pistachio, cardamom powder, rose water, powdered sugar, almond, yolk and milk.
Nan-e Qandi
This sweet has especial taste and fragrance. It is usually served with tea. To prepare this sweet, flour, baking powder, cardamom powder, solid oil, powdered sugar and poppy seeds are used.
Nan-e Chaie
One of delectable traditional sweets of Qazvin is Nan-e Chaie. It has two types: buttery and normal. The ingredients of this sweet are egg, butter, yogurt, saffron, sesame, oil, powdered sugar and cardamom powder.
Atabaki
Atabaki or Vali Ahdi is one of local sweets of Qazvin. This sweet is popular among people of Qazvin. Rice flour, solid oil, egg, powdered sugar are ingredients of this sweet.
